It’s hard to remember now, but there was a time, in the not-too-distant past, when people didn’t utter the phrase “go on mute” every single day. That’s just one of the ways Zoom has changed the landscape/society/fabric of space-time; what started as a videoconferencing app for business has become our go-to way (and word) for connecting with people in other places. Zoom’s meteoric rise came due to timing and circumstance, sure, but the app has met its moment with an elegant design, reliable performance, and constantly evolving features. But in the end, its real meaning is bigger: Zoom keeps us connected with each other.
Very convenient
I like zoom very much. Previous 1 year I am using zoom. It’s a very convenient way for conferences and educational activities. But the fault is at features and bugs. Many participants in the meeting will have been suffering due to unusual activities by unknown men. I hope zoom would improve security and if the host is more authoritative then I hope the scammers would be caught. I request zoom to improve security policies and bug fixes. Make it device friendly also so that it won’t consume more battery of the device. For a 40-minute conference my device drains about 11% which is very high for my iPad. Please improve performance and try adding new features for educational purposes basic accounts. Add poll option in the zoom meeting and hail q/a sessions so that we can conduct e-objective tests. And try giving co-host option for educational based basic accounts
Really good but can do a few things better
Rating 5 stars as the app is really good and had a variety of features which I and my colleagues use on a daily basis. One feedback I would is to improve the display on phones. Like when you are in a team meeting via your phone, it shows just the speaker on the main screen and your picture on the top right. And you have to swipe to see other people and that too only 4 at a time. So, if you could utilise the available space on the main screen and display more people, that would be great. Doesn’t have to be everyone together and doesn’t have to be in fixed tiles. Get creative and display the most relevant people as per activity in variable sized tiles.
