Enjoy easier EV journeys with A Better Routeplanner (ABRP). The navigation app shows real-time charger availability and speeds, plus nearby food and lodgings, so you can refresh while you recharge.

What we love: Need a quick fix? One tap finds the nearest charging station. Two more taps will guide you there on the map. And if you’re going global, ABRP can handle the entire route, tailored to your car model and range, current battery level, weather conditions and more. You’ll also see the number of stops and total journey time, including charging – removing the ETA guesswork. With ABRP Premium, you can add child- or pet-friendly stops and try voice-powered navigation via Apple CarPlay, too.

Quick tip: When route planning, select Options and set a Destination Arrival SoC (state of charge) to ensure battery breathing room for the next drive.

Meet the creator: ABRP started as a hobby project in 2016 after developer Bo Lincoln bought his first EV. Today, the app is owned by US EV manufacturer Rivian, but it continues to support drivers of all EV brands.
