In this absorbing resource management survival game, you’re in charge of a family of four hiding out in an underground bunker, waiting for this whole end-of-the-world thing to blow over.
You’ve got a few meagre resources to start you off, but from there it’s up to you to eke out as pleasant an existence as possible, considering you’re in a shabby nuclear bunker.
The trick is to figure out where to focus your resources and choose the right people for the right jobs – courageous characters will perform better on scavenging missions, for example, while resourceful types will be more effective at crafting tools or fixing things.
There are subtler traits to consider too. Optimistic folks will keep morale up and hygienic characters will keep the place clean, reducing the likelihood of a nasty disease. And every character has a negative trait to balance out their personality, too – cowardice, laziness and pessimism are all quirks you’ll have to counteract.
Everything’s a balance in Sheltered, and cleverly maintaining equilibrium in your bunker is how you'll keep surviving. So if you do need help after a huge nuclear attack, don’t ask us. Bear Grylls we ain’t.
