This just-what-you-need pedometer stands out thanks to its Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets, which let you see your latest stats at a glance.

What we love: Getting all the key stats – steps, distance, speed, pace – neatly displayed. The app syncs with the Health app on iPhone, so you can see your step metrics alongside calories burned, heart rate, exercise minutes and more.

Chart your step history (left), or track a walking session and see real-time updates with Live Activities.

Quick tip: On Apple Watch, the app can tally your wheelchair pushes too. To turn this on, go to the app’s settings (it looks like a cog) and toggle on Wheelchair mode.

Meet the creator: Developer David Smith, whose other apps include Widgetsmith and Watchsmith, always prioritises accessibility in his designs. “We all need to think of accessibility as something that isn’t just for a subset of people, but rather something that we’ll all need at some point in our lives,” he says.
