Pocket: Stay Informed

View

If you’re the one in the group message who sees the article your friend sent, doesn’t read it, and minutes later, it’s buried beneath 50 text messages from everyone else already discussing it, Pocket will keep you from missing out on the conversation.

Pocket allows you to save articles, pages and videos from news sites, blogs, Facebook and anywhere else with a Share option. When you download the app, you will be prompted to turn on the Pocket share feature. From there, anytime you see something you want to save for later, hit the Share button, Pocket will appear as an option, and once you select it, your article or page will be saved to My List for you to read at your convenience. Pocket syncs your iPad, iPhone and Mac to your account, and you don’t need an Internet connection to view what you’ve saved.

Want to read it, but can’t read it now? Put it in your Pocket.

You can also recommend articles you’ve found to others. These will show up in your profile and be visible to anyone who follows your Pocket account. And once you’ve followed others, their recommendations will show up on your Recommended feed.

To help organise the things you’ve saved, you can favourite them, add tags to them or archive them. And with all of your articles and videos so easy to find, there’s no reason you shouldn’t be able to catch up on the 50 messages you missed earlier. So go ahead, pocket it for later.
