Star Wars fans, rejoice! Disney+ on Hotstar is celebrating with three new moments in the Star Wars galaxy: the long-awaited series finale of The Clone Wars, a behind-the-scenes series about The Mandalorian and the streaming debut of Star Wars: Episode IX – The Rise of Skywalker, which brought the Skywalker saga to a close.

Here’s all the news you’re looking for:

The Clone Wars end

With the final episode premiering on Star Wars Day, The Clone Wars has come to an end.

The seventh and final season of the 12-year Clone Wars story comes to a close with the long-awaited finale. Series creator Dave Filoni says it’s fitting to end the series on Star Wars Day “to show an appreciation for what The Clone Wars means to the fans.”

Although streaming may have changed how fans are watching today, George Lucas saw it coming and adjusted the storytelling accordingly. “When we were working on The Clone Wars in the beginning, George was already focused on streaming as the platform of the future,” says Filoni. “That’s why he had us tell stories in arcs, so they were like mini-episodic movies. They worked individually, or you could binge them.”

Filoni’s work with the Star Wars universe will go on – he’s involved in the second season of The Mandalorian, slated to arrive this autumn. “Jon Favreau and I are like two kids playing with the very best Star Wars toys in the galaxy,” he says.

The Rise of Skywalker debuts

The entire Skywalker Saga is now available on Hotstar.

It’s official: Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is now streaming on Hotstar, making the app home to the entire Skywalker saga.

In this ninth and final chapter, Rey (Daisy Ridley) faces the ultimate question of who she’s truly meant to be, along with the resurgent Emperor Palpatine (Ian McDiarmid), the troubled Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) and a very big fleet of Star Destroyers.

The Mandalorian is unmasked

Go behind the scenes in the new Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian.

Season 2 of The Mandalorian is still months away, but you can revisit the adventure, surprises and soup-sipping green children from the first season in Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian, an eight-episode behind-the-scenes series.

Each chapter explores a different facet of the live-action Star Wars TV show through interviews, never-before-seen footage and conversations hosted by creator Jon Favreau. The premiere episode is available now. New episodes will be released every week.
