This mobile app is an interactive tool for exploring the Bank of Russia notes in circulation, as well as their security features.
You can find a specific banknote in our catalogue or use your device’s camera to scan a banknote or its image to identify its denomination and modification year.
Now the application can locate security features on 1,000-ruble and 5,000-ruble notes modified in 2010, and 2,000-ruble notes. Please note that the application does not verify the authenticity of a banknote. What it does is help you to do it yourself - without any special equipment, simply by following the tips on your screen. This feature supports all banknotes. Security features can be checked in transmitted light, with a magnifying glass, by feeling or by tilting a note – and our app enables users to learn about each type of security features.
Thanks to our easy-to-follow guide, users will be able to quickly identify these security features on a banknote and compare them to what they are supposed to look like.
