Description
**You must own a Synology NAS to run this app, and have upgraded to DSM 5.2 to get the complete set of features**
DS file is ideal to manage files stored on your DiskStation, upload or download between the NAS and the iDevice itself, or do basic editing tasks. And always securely with HTTPS support. Besides file management, DS file is also a useful tool to do anything from browsing pictures, watching videos or checking work documents when you are on the go.

Shows contents ok. Can download to the ipad, which is really useful. Problems...

if i fetch large files such as films, i tend to get "request timed out". I understand that multitasking may be problematic on ipad, but the app should not require me to sit idly for 10 minutes while something is downloading. A "resume download" feature is sorely missing!
#2.
I would then like to open the downloaded films with avplayerhd (a VLC alternative for ipad). This mostly does not seem to work, at least not for large files. I am unsure whether dsfile or the player is the problem here.
Additionally, "open with" avplayerhd seems to copy the contents to the player's own storage. The may be problematic when we are dealing with large files. If possible, pointing the receiving app to the original file would save space. Or moving the file, rather than copying. Again, i do not know which app is the problem.
