Description

Fight the social media algorithms and win back control over your social media usage & your subconsciousness!

“one sec” forces you to take a deep breath whenever you open one of the configured websites or apps (Twitter, YouTube, Reddit, Instagram,…). This breaks unconcious social media habits short-term (literally, as soon as you have set it up) and even helps long-term by adding more friction when opening these websites and apps.

Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present: Did you really want to open Instagram?
This app helps you to reflect your actions, thoughts, and feelings; disrupting harmful social media habits with mindfulness.

App that solves so many issues

This app is amazing and it has helped me tremendously. The function of having to take a moment before mindlessly navigating between apps works wonders.

The customization is what makes this app so good. Some apps I use too much so I can put more stringent rules for those, whereas others I barely use but still want to limit and those get lower barriers of entry.

The trigger of showing a screen before opening an app that you're used to using all the time is outstanding. It world equally well at breaking an older habit and creating a new one. With this app I've been able to break the doomscrolling habits. Plus, the trigger has allowed me to start journaling each morning and evening since it just pops up in front of me; other journaling apps required me to open the app or turn on a notification so I never used them.

I'd rate this 6 stars out of 5 if I could 🥳
