Do you sometimes feel disconnected from those around you? Do you wish for an easier way to access opportunities, trending news, and other information? AccessAbility Bahamas is a simple, free mobile app that helps persons with disabilities become more in tune with what’s happening in The Bahamas!
AccessAbility Bahamas was designed with persons with disabilities in mind, providing our People with access to various accessibility-friendly features.
By using AccessAbility Bahamas, our users can enjoy the following benefits:
1. Read or listen to Trending News articles.
2. Learn about the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, and access the Disabilities Act of The Bahamas
3. Access a Business Directory that identifies organizations compliant with the Disabilities Act of The Bahamas.
4. Access a Government Directory that provides details of the various Government Services available in The Bahamas.
5. Access a Non-Government Organizations (NGOs) Directory that provides details of NGOs available in The Bahamas.
6. Receive push notifications to their device(s), which will contain important/urgent news broadcasts.
7. Gain one-touch access to Emergency Services or Contacts, such as the Police, Ambulance, and others.

What's New?
1. Request an Interpreter - You can now request an Interpreter for all your events! Submit your request form in the app, and the Interpreter will contact you shortly after.
2. Contact the NCPD Secretariat - You can contact the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities (NCPD Bahamas) directly using the built-in contact form.
3. Bus Routes - Have you ever gotten lost while catching the bus in Nassau, Bahamas? Never again! Now, you can easily access the Bus Routes for every bus in New Providence.
4. Enhanced Notifications - The NCPD has partnered with other organizations to send important updates via Push Notifications, including important upcoming events, natural disaster warnings, and more!
5. Request Transportation - The NCPD is partnering with transportation organizations to provide transportation services to Persons with Disabilities (PwDs).
