Ajanta Caves are located just 105 kms from Aurangabad in Maharashtra and are a world heritage site since 1983. This collection of 30 rock cut Buddhist caves were discovered in 1819.
Excavated from the 2nd Century BCE to 5th Century CE, the caves showcase the most perfect examples of Indian mural paintings and sculpture and are one of the most visited places in Maharashtra. This app is a tribute to the brilliance of the alluring world of the Ajanta Caves.

Che meraviglia! Suggerisco a tutti quest'applicazione, che offre una perfetta introduzione ai grandiosi templi rupestri di Ajanta. Descrizioni essenziali ma precise, foto nitide e fedeli... Però, quando potrete, cercate di recarvici di persona. E, oltre Ajanta, cercate di visitare Ellora, Aurangabad, Nasik, Karla e le altre grotte sacre che si trovano lungo la catena montuosa del Deccan, nell'India centro-meridionale... Tutti questi monasteri e luoghi di culto, scavati nella viva roccia in epoche remote, vi lasceranno in fondo al cuore un'impressione che non si cancellerà più...
