Update: thanks developer to explain your position. Going forward your games is very cozy indeed and still pleasant to play. So I updated my review. Old review: The game is releasing and it has pleasant sounds and graphics. I laugh when I red: this game wants to celebrate the diversity of our planet“ and then, in the option you find: disable plants that make you uncomfortable. WHAT?! So, diversity, but only what you like. And, how can you know what plants make a person uncomfortable? It’s the usual stupid ideology that is so diffuse in our era: diversity, but not necessarily according to reality.
Hey,Thanks for the review! About these Phobia settings. They actually come from my other game, Art of Fauna, where this is a bigger issue when it comes to snakes, spiders, and other animals. But the images in both games are real historical images that were made for scientific research. So the drawings are very accurate, which can be a problem for certain people with phobias. For Flora, there are artists like Maria Sibylla Merian who drew a lot of insects with her plants. And there are people who are disgusted by insects. And the same for the Trypophobia settings. Some people are extremely disgusted by seeing those clusters of small holes and bumps. So I offer a way to turn them off. 99% of people are fine with seeing them, so they can gladly ignore the settings. But I still have the settings to prevent causing an unpleasant feeling for that 1%. Is that really a problem? As it being too easy - That’s why there are also difficulty settings. The game is meant to be a cozy, calming experience - But if you really want a challenge, the hardest mode should provide you with one. Cheers,Klemens
