Absence of trial period

Given that I believe that development and maintenance of software development companies must absolutely be remunerated, I find it absurd that the app does not have a trial period, even a short one, without providing payment data. It would make more sense to let us try some features of the app, even just for one or two days, and AFTER the trial period ask for the payment, deactivating the service in the absence of this. In this way the user is forced to remember to cancel the subscription 24 hours before the expiry, otherwise the whole plan will be charged (even one year in advance if the annual plan is chosen). It’s a pity, because this choice, which bets on users forgetting to cancel the subscription, represents an entry barrier that causes the lose of potential customers (I won’t buy an app without trying it), but above all demonstrate an unfair approach to the customers, and this is not the best way to win their trust and loyalty.
