Linguan greatly simplifies localizing your Mac and iOS apps. It gives you an intelligent editor for all strings files contained in your Xcode project.

Open, edit and save XLIFF files directly (useful now that Xcode can export XLIFF files)

You get warned about duplicate tokens or missing translations. Then you can export and e-mail all missing tokens for a specific language to your translator, who can also use Linguan for filling in the translations or use his text editor of choice.

When you get the translators results back Linguan automatically merges the results into your project, even if the tokens originated from multiple different strings files.

Linguan is the most fun way to clean up your translations.

Really useful

This is a must have tool for all developers that provide multi-language apps. It facilitates the management of string files, a common dictionary for an app and provides warnings for missing or duplicate translations, which happens so often. The main advantage of this tool is that you are able to maintain a well ordered dictionary of all your transaltions and easily add/remove multi language. Tested also with oriental languages (chinese, japanese, korean) thanks to Unicode support it is perfectly compatible.
It maintains all your original comments (typically used to identify the context of the string in your application or as a translator note). It would be great if it could be able to group comments. I normally use this approach:

/* GROUP 1 */
"string1"="translation1";
"string2"="translation2";

/* GROUP 2 */
"string3" = "translation3";

Having these groups supported by the app and then kept separate in the presentation would be great.
