Useful and intuitive

I'm using the free version and find it perfect for time-blocking. The incrementally diminishing pie-chart icon in the menu bar is much to my liking. The sound effects are the most charming thing ever.

Price is too high

The app is fine, as there are many similar, also in the free tier. I completely understand that the costs of development should be covered, and I am willing to pay a subscription when there are server costs, but a subscription model for a local application is completely unjustified. Do you want me to pay? name a reasonable price, and then let me use the application. I don't understand why I should subscribe.

Risposta dello sviluppatore ,

Yes, if Focus would be a regular utility app, that would make sense. But we decided to make the best Pomodoro app and that takes several things: continuous development of new features, great customer support and an honest business model (aka no privacy creeping and selling of user data). Since we moved to subscription, we were able to ship new OS features the day they became available. Support for new screen sizes from day one, etc. It’s also one subscription for 3 apps (iOS, Watch and Mac). You want the best tools to do your best work. If your work time is valuable, the subscription price shouldn’t be an issue at all.

“The app is too expensive! Does Focus help you to stay concentrated and get your stuff done? Do you feel productive while using Focus? If so, imagine what amount of time and money you save just by working this efficient. Now, image this for a day, a week, a month or even a year. Compare that to the cost of the app.”
