Description
Logic Remote is a companion app for Logic Pro and GarageBand on the Mac. It provides an innovative way to extend the creative power of Logic or GarageBand by using your iPad or iPhone. Designed to take full advantage of Multi-Touch, Logic Remote offers new ways to record, mix and even perform instruments from anywhere in the room, turning your iPad or iPhone* into a mixer, transport control and a flexible Touch Instrument.
Play Logic Instruments
• Play any Logic instrument using a familiar piano keyboard or guitar fretboard
• Tap out beats on drum pads or a drum kit
• Control Live Loops by triggering cells or switching between scenes
• Program beats, bass lines and melodic parts in Step Sequencer
• Perform Remix FX over individual tracks or the entire song
• Use the scale mode to limit notes to fit the key of your song
• Tap and strum entire chords using Chord Strip view
• Make simple or dramatic changes to your sounds with Smart Controls
• Add the Arpeggiator plug-in to any instrument
Navigate Logic Projects
• Operate basic transport controls like start, stop, record and cycle

Utile e funzionale
Come da titolo l’app è ben strutturata e si accede ad una marea di funzioni, in particolare la schermata mixer. Peccato però che ha numerosi bugs, io la utilizzo su iPad Pro 11 collegato via usb-c, di tanto in tanto perde la sincronizzazione, aggiungendo tracce o plugin non si aggiorna l’applicazione e quindi bisogna aprire il mixer da Logic e reimpostare la visuale delle tracce. Sarebbe stato bello anche vedere la grafica dei plugin anziché solo i comandi perché diventa confusionale per strumenti che hanno tanti parametri. Spero in un aggiornamento radicale!
Bella ma...
Io da produttore musicale non la trovo molto utile per un dettaglio, manca un mixer generale come quello che è presente nella versione per il Mac. Dovrebbe essere ci perché io prima di installare l’applicazione avevo pensato che fosse presente ma cercando nelle impostazioni e non trovandolo sono rimasto deluso. (E poi il mixer singolo è inutile sarebbe meglio avercelo a più canali)
Comoda e ben fatta
Da tastierista utente di MainStage è molto, molto utile, specialmente in sala prove per fare aggiustamenti di volumi al volo, nella schermata di mix.
Usando io quasi esclusivamente un singolo riverbero su un bus per tutto il concerto e mantenendo prevalentemente tutto centrale, sarebbe ancora meglio avere in una schermata i fader del volume e le mandate, invece di fader e pan o solamente le mandate.
