We couldn’t wait to go back to the land of twisty towers and uncanny beauty—and this sequel didn’t let us down. With its striking colours and level design, it’s even more stunning than the first game. New elements like light beams and controlling two characters make the puzzles even trickier. The bond between that mother and child is what we’ll remember most, though—their relationship moved us in a way few games do.
Bello ma non quanto il primo
Le meccaniche dei livelli sono ispirate quanto quelle del primo, e musica e art design sono sempre spettacolari. Per quanto riguarda difficoltà e durata, molti altri utenti si sono già espressi; la cosa a me non disturba e non mi ha impedito di dare 5 stelle al primo capitolo: quando un gioco presenta come una poesia da ammirare, credo che soffermarsi su questi dettagli sia osservare l’opera nella maniera sbagliata. Manca però la magia del primo, che era più interessante e misterioso. Ho qui fatto più fatica a connettermi emotivamente con la storia. Inoltre, molti livelli finiscono troppo presto, e si ha la sensazione che molte delle meccaniche nuove (anche molto interessanti) non siano state esplorate a dovere.

Monument valley 2 è una conferma totale, ho giocato il primo e lo ho adorato come miglior gioco mobile mai fatto e il 2 è egualmente perfetto. È un gioco curato in ogni minimo dettaglio: dalla storia al gameplay passando per gli effetti sonori (consigliatissimo giocarlo con le cuffie). L'unica pecca che ha è anch'essa una conferma: i livelli sono pochi. Tutti vorrebbero che un gioco cosí bello non finisse mai, ma è anche vero che probabilmente è bellissimo proprio per questo; come dice il famoso detto popolare: "Il gioco è bello finchè è corto" e MV2 è la prova che il detto è vero. Non vedo l'ora che escano i dlc come era accaduto nel primo.
Insomma Monument Valley 2 vale veramente il prezzo e il tempo che ci spenderete e rimane il miglior gioco di sempre per piattaforme mobile.
