Disclaimer!
Don't use this App for medical decisions. It comes with absolutely no warranty. Use it at your own risk!

You can use nightguard to submit your bg values to the Apple HealthKit. This is disabled by default but can
be enabled in the nightguard app.

Nightguard is an app that displays your blood glucose values from the Nightscout backend.

It is a native iOS App with support for the Apple Watch.
Features are:
- Define a range of acceptable blood glucose values.
- Whenever your values are out of range you will be alerted.
- You can snooze the alerts all the time and for a defined time period.
- You can reactivate the alerts all the time.
- You can activate alerts if the values are rising or falling too fast.
- The app displays yesterdays values as an overlay chart. This way you have a hint about how your values could behave in the future.
- Tune your basal rates with the statistics function to overlay different days
- Sync your bg values to HealthKit (optional)

For the alarms to work the app has to be active. So you can enable a screen lock that keeps the app running all night long.

Have a look at www.nightscout.info for more information about how to setup your own Nightscout backend.

Fatta bene ..mancano alcune cose

Risposta dello sviluppatore ,

Thanks for your feedback! My Italian is not very good, did you notice that you can open up the Nightscout web app by long pressing the target button to the lower right of the main screen? You can see your boluses there. But yes, would be nice to see it directly in Nightguard.

Romeo Valleo ,

Let’s open it to CGMs direc

Your app is great. I’m using it 24hrs a day. I assume you know that Heroku will kill Nightscout as they are killing free Dynis in November. Why aren’t you developing a direct data source from Dexcom and from other CGMs? It would be a smart move, I think. Do not lose this opportunity. Update on your response: If each user could use your app with the Dexcom credentials, there would be no need to have parents as followers etc. each Nighguard session could be independent but based on the same Dexcom source. Maybe you do not want allowing it?

Hi! That would loose features like parents following their childrens and have a look at their data.

You can host it on your own on a raspberry. I documented that here:

Maybe that helps:

Thanks

Risposta dello sviluppatore ,

It's hard to achieve that, since apple is very restrictive about background activity. But check out the latest version. We have basic alarms on the watch now.
