Qfile Pro is a free companion app for QNAP NAS that allows you to browse and manage the files on your NAS using your iPhone or iPad.
Prerequisites:
- iOS 13 or later
- QNAP NAS running QTS 4.0 or later, QuTS hero 4.5.0 or later

Major features of Qfile Pro:
- Access files on your QNAP NAS anytime, anywhere.
- Directly upload photos and documents from your iOS devices to your NAS.
- Easy sharing: Create download links to easily share files via email or SMS, or simply email the file as an attachment.
- Easy management: Move, copy, rename, and delete files on your NAS using your mobile device. No computer required.
- Offline file reading: Download files from your NAS to your iOS device for convenient access when you do not have an Internet connection.
- Auto upload: Automatically upload photos from your device's photo gallery to the NAS. (To ensure that Qfile Pro can continually provide this background service, you must allow the location service - please note that this may noticeably decrease battery life.)
- Qysnc integration: Synchronize files between your mobile device and your QNAP NAS. (Requires QTS 4.3.4/QuTS hero 4.5.0 or later, and Qsync Central to be installed on your QNAP NAS device.)

Other features:
1. Support for displaying files thumbnail.
2. Supports control playback from QNAP NAS to DLNA devices. (requires QNAP Media Server, and QTS 4.0/QuTS hero 4.5.0 or later)
3. Support for file compression. (QTS 4.0/QuTS hero 4.5.0 or later)

[New Features]
- An option has been added for file uploads to have their modified date set to the file creation date, making it more convenient to browse and organize files.
- An option has been added to generate thumbnails on users' mobile devices during file uploading and upload them to the NAS together with the file uploads.
- A new reporting system has been added for helping users report issues they encounter which allows QNAP to fix Qfile Pro issues with more responsive and timely updates.

[Enhancements]
- Users can now organize their photo and videos auto uploaded into directories based on created year or based on created year and month.
- The background task menu now provides additional useful information, including upload time and relevant upload settings.

[Fixed Issues]
- Improved app stability by fixing several minor issues.

App comoda ma senza dubbio da migliorare

Comoda per gestire il mio nas ts-420 da iOS ma ho riscontrato queste lacune:
- file mkv e avi letti correttamente ma diversi codec audio assenti, quindi si vedono solo film muti
- l'app non si sincronizza correttamente se lasciata in backgroud e l'iphone si disconnette e si riconnette quando torna connesso alla wifi ove presente il nas, bisogna chiuderla e riaprirla
- comoda per lanciare la copia di file da hdd usb a nas ma la barra di riempimento in fase di copia non si riempie
- le attività in backgroud attivate dall'app sono visibili nel browser del nas ma non il contrario, se avvio un'attività dal browser non la si vede nell'app
Intanto mi sovvengono queste cose, se mi verrà in mente altro lo riporteró.
Grazie, aspetto una fix dell'app.

Sbagliato s’impara

Con gli ultimi aggiornamenti del nas ci sono stati diverse problematiche legate all’associazione sei privilegi utente, inizialmente sulle utenze windows, risolto con l’aggiornamento successivo, poi con la app oggetto di questa recensione, anch’essa risolto con l’aggiornamento successivo.
In sostanza l’abbinata NAS Apps, non è male, basterebbe forse testare maggiormente gli aggiornamenti del NAS prima del rilascio.

Esplora file? Purtroppo no!

Ho trovato il sistema per salvare i file direttamente su Qfile ma il meccanismo risulta comunque macchinoso. Inoltre mi secca non poter usare “File” di iPhone per poter esplorare i file del NAS. Si può fare con Documents di Readdle, FileApp ecc...ma non con Qfile. Se venisse perfezionato questo aspetto l’app sarebbe da 5 stelle!
