App offers remote control for Mac or PC, with a mouse, keyboard, and media controls. Great if you connect your computer to the TV or projector, to control from a sofa or bed.

In 2013, I created this app to control my Mac Mini connected to a big-screen TV in my living room. In 2016 I quit my job and became an indie developer, and now my sole focus is on building my apps. The app has been downloaded more than 2,000,000 times over the years and has favorable reviews.

SECURITY
The app uses standard security measures like HTTPS to communicate and only works on your local network. Whenever an unknown device tries to establish a connection with your computer, the app presents a dialog for you to choose to allow or deny it.

UNLOCK PREMIUM FEATURES
Remote offers two subscription options: yearly with a free trial and monthly, and a lifetime one-time payment option. Prices may vary by location.

If you upgrade to a Premium subscription, Apple will charge your account at confirmation of purchase. Subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple will charge your account for renewal 24 hours before the end of the current period.

You may cancel automatic renewal and manage your subscription by selecting Manage App Subscriptions in your Apple Account settings and selecting the subscription you want to modify. Any unused portion of a free trial period, if offered, will be forfeited when you purchase a Premium subscription, where applicable.

Tra i migliori acquisti mai fatti, ben fatta e aggiornata spesso

La uso da anni, su tutti i dispositivi Apple. Da iphone o ipad gestisco la scrivania del mac mini comodamente sdraiato a letto, non usando quasi più i canali del digitale terrestre sul tv 49” che è anche il display del mac. Posso vedere un film e spegnere il computer tramite l’ app, o vedere podcast su youtube. Può essere un telecomando a tutto tondo,(volume+/-, avanti, indietro, ecc) ma anche un trackpad con tastiera a scomparsa come se stessimo usando un macbook. Con un pò di pazienza, si possono creare degli shortcut utilissimi. Ne ho creato qualcuno per Safari, ingrandendo la pagina per consultare un sito web(sempre dal letto) o aprire/chiudere un nuovo pannello , perchè sarebbero troppo piccoli e scomodi da assegnare muovendosi con il puntatore “del mouse virtuale” a tre metri di distanza. Ce ne sono di default nell’ app stessa come -chiudi tutte le app-, -riavvia-, -spegni. Fantastico poter inviare lo schermo intero della scrivania del mac sul tablet ,on the fly, come fosse la -duplicazione schermo- ma senza toccare le impostazioni sul mac, e soprattutto sfruttare il touch screen dell’ ipad, su Sonoma.
Bisogna smanettarci un pò per acquisire le giuste skill per la personalizzaziine da nerd, ma dà un sacco di soddisfazioni.
La consiglio a mani basse, uno degli acquisti migliori che abbia fatto sullo store. Uso ios dai tempi di iphone 4s e ipad2, non serve aggiungere altro!!!

Veramente buona!

Funziona benissimo, anche nella versione lite. Un po’ fastidioso il banner da chiudere tutte le volte che si apre l’app, ma se uno non lo sopporta proprio prende la versione a pagamento. Non recensisco quasi mai, ma questo sviluppatore da molto anche nella versione free e chiede solo un rating. Mi è sembrato giusto dargli 5 stelle perché l’app funziona e bene.

Indispensabile

Io uso l’App su un iMac per cambiare i canali, volume ed altro sulla EYE TV e per controllare Kodi e Plex. La uso anche per gestire altri programmi a distanza. Funziona tutto perfettamente. Mai più senza.
