- Updated neural network architecture: The neural network architecture has undergone two updates and is currently in its 8th version.
- Removal of handcrafted evaluation (HCE): This release marks the removal of the traditional handcrafted evaluation and the transition to a fully neural network-based approach.
- Dual NNUE: For the first time, Stockfish includes a secondary neural network, used to quickly evaluate positions that are easily decided.

Outstanding Chess engine, but...
but on Mac OS X El Capitan it crashes a lot. Mainly, it freezes and doesn’t open any windows. The only solution I have found at the moment to restart the Mac. Another important feature it lacks is the "position setup”. I cannot setup a specific position and start analysis from there. Always I have to start from the beginning. Good job, I hope that the “freezing” bug will be fixed soon.

Very good engine
It does exactly what it says. My only problem is that i don't understand the advanced stuff but i'm not gonna blame the app for that. Very good chess engine i recommend it a lot.
2.3.6 doesn't works with Big Sur (MacOS 11.6)
Stockfish 2.3.6 version crashes with MacOS Big Sur. When engine starts the program instantly closes and disappears. Moreover regulate preferences is impossible, actually it opens an empty white window.
