Telemistretta nasce nel 1989 grazie alla grande volontà di Mons. Michele Placido Giordano allora appena arrivato a Mistretta come Arciprete della parrocchia Santa Lucia.
L'emittente ottenne regolare concessione a trasmettere durante il periodo di grande riforma del sistema radio-televisivo introdotto con la legge "Mammì" ed è portata avanti dal volontariato.
Oggi Telemistretta rappresenta un mezzo insostituibile per la diffusione dell'informazione sugli avvenimenti che avvengono nel nostro territorio di riferimento.
