Description
Vinegar is a Safari extension that replaces the YouTube player with a minimal HTML video tag.
It removes ads, restores picture-in-picture, and keeps videos playing in the background.
Note: The "can read information from webpages" text in the permission section is just unfortunate wording. Vinegar needs access to the web page to find the YouTube player and replace it. It's not doing anything creepy!
(By the way, check out Vinegar's companion app, Baking Soda. It's basically a less powerful version of Vinegar, but it works on all websites other than YouTube.)

Utile ma perfezionabile
L'applicazione fa quel che promette di fare sia su Mac che su iPad.
Semplifica il player di YouTube, e facendo ciò toglie addirittura anche le pubblicità.
Una stella in meno perché la riproduzione non parte automaticamente quando cliccate sul video, e se riattivate la riproduzione automatica al click poi l'audio del video si bugga e verrà riprodotto dall'inizio anche se chiudete il video e ritornate alla Home di YouTube. Inoltre non potete più controllare il video con la tastiera (frecce, barra spaziatrice, J-K-L...).

Interessante ma acerba
Sicuramente aiuta a ripulire il caos di pubblicità e tracking rispetto all'app nativa, ma con alcuni evidenti problemi di gioventù: - su iPad una volta aperto il video a tutto schermo spesso l'interfaccia di controllo non appare più, quindi impossibile uscire da tutto schermo o mettere in pausa il filmato: va ridimensionato premendo pulsante home e da lì chiuso - non ricorda il punto dove avete interrotto la riproduzione ricaricando la pagina - su iPhone non consente di riprodurre filmati oltre 1080p anche se da app nativa potrei arrivare a 4K. Ricaricando la pagina senza plugin comunque non riesce a visualizzare UHD. Da app nativa posso scegliere 4K senza problemi
