Description

DGArt is a 3D modeling and rendering tool designed for artists, game designers, and developers to create 3D assets and content from start to finish. It is affordable, comprehensive, and easy to learn. With DGArt on your iPad, you can effortlessly construct 3D models and digital art.

DGArt provides a variety of basic geometric primitives, including extra/custom polygons. It can be accessed through an edit mode, supporting extrusion, inset, knife cuts, and more.

DGArt creates a .scn file. This is the data format used to store the geometry, nodes, lights, and camera. This format can be used in the Playgrounds App for your apps or games.
Please refer to SceneKit for more details.

Richiibee ,

Amazing! Shows how capable the iPad is.

Firstly let me say WELL DONE! I did not know an app like this existed. It is very promising. The UI is good. I am giving 4 stars based on the potential of this app. Here are some suggestions however because as the actual users of the app we would like the best experience possible.

No obj export? It’s 3d we need options.

App crashes and doesn’t autosave. That’s a problem.

Double tapping resets the view and gets annoying. It interrupts workflow when selecting stuff especially in modeler mode.

Navigation is weird because it seems to have a problem figuring out if I am trying to zoom or pan.

The view keeps moving after release when rotating the view. So it doesn’t stay where I put it unless I try to make sure my finger doesn’t move after rotating by holding it there for a few seconds.

It would be easier to have an edge select mode jus like you have face and vertex selection mode because it is hard to target the exact loop I wish to select.

NAVIGATION! please fix the gestures, they are finicky and I cannot navigate the scene easily because it sometimes cannot figure out if I am panning, rotating or zooming if I do them quickly after the other. I have to wait a while for it to kno I am done zooming.

Find a way to separate selecting and gestures because I keep selecting things when trying to do gestures in modeler mode. And I cannot pan, rotate or zoom in scene mode if I try to do it on an object because it thinks I’m trying to select the object. I have to do the gesture on an empty part of the grid instead. Especially when zoomed in this is a problem because I cannot pan at all if there is no empty grid spot visible

NO UNDO? why is there no undo in scene mode? If I make a mistake like scaling along the wrong axis that’s it. I cannot go back.

GIZMO!!!! A huge part of the 3d world is the gizmo. Please don’t take that from us. That is standard and makes it easier to move objects. We need a gizmo with all scale and movement axis and rotation in one for easy moving and scaling without having to select a different tool for each action. Like in nomadsculpt. That’s a big deal with the Apple Pencil. Can we have a gizmo in the modeler mode for moving and rotating instead of the joystick so we don’t have to keep selecting the axis in which we want to move faces. It takes up alot of time to do it that way. Keep it simple. The joystick works for insets and extrusion etc. not for movement.

Give us something in the middle of the gizmo for free movement so we don’t have to use the axis example in top view if I want to move objects freely I can’t.

Also please add local and world gizmo in modeler page like we have in scene mode so we can move faces along normals. (The direction which the face is already facing so we keep faces going in that direction.

Please color the axis so we can kno what orientation we are in. I don’t know which line is X and which is Y.

Allow us to tap faces and have the gizmo show up for each face for easy moment. At the location of the face. If I move a face on the wrong axis since I have to manually select the axis, I have to undo then the tool resets, then I have to select face again then select the move tool then select the right axis then move it. That’s way too many steps especially when fiddling with many different faces. When in move tool allow us to select a different face without first having to go to the select tool. Just tap and go. It’s not necessary.

These are my main problems for a solid workflow. Great app so far!!
