Description

It has long been known that eating slowly has great health benefits. For example, digestion works better and a feeling of fullness sets in more quickly.
However, it is not so easy to implement this in everyday life. The FINT app helps you to learn to eat slowly and to maintain it. With a timer, the FINT app shows you the optimal time frame for chewing and swallowing your food. After a short time, you will have internalised slow eating and will be able to adopt it into your everyday life.

The benefits of slow eating:

- Better nutrient absorption
By eating more slowly, more and better chewing is done and the nutrients can be better absorbed by the body.

- Weight loss
According to recent research, people who eat fast are three times more likely to be overweight. There is a simple reason for this: our brain needs some time to realise that we are full. People who eat too quickly therefore often eat more food than they actually need.

- Fewer digestive problems
Eating slowly produces more saliva, which means that pre-digestion already takes place in the mouth. This relieves our stomach and the risk of digestive complaints and abdominal pain is considerably reduced.

- Reduction of stress

By concentrating on your food intake or your meal, you forget your everyday stress and follow the recognised rules of mindfulness.

- More enjoyment
Many of our foods only develop their full flavour when they remain in the mouth for a longer period of time. Wine connoisseurs have known this for a long time. So eating slowly is not only healthy, but also increases their enjoyment.
