Lumy also supports iOS 18’s State of Mind feature, offering sun exposure suggestions based on mood entries from the Health app - a gentle nudge to step outdoors and connect with nature.
With seven-day weather forecasts, you can plan ahead with confidence. All sun and moon data is calculated entirely on-device, no tracking, no server requests. Only weather uses the internet.

Introducing Modes: a new way to shape Lumy around your daily routine. Whether we’re planning our weekday schedule, chasing golden hour on the weekend, or aligning our mindfulness practice with the sun, Modes help Lumy show only what matters to us.
New Design: The whole idea was based on making Lumy as a “Window to our outside world”. Tried to make the UI feel gently illuminated by the world outside, creating a sense of connection even when we're indoors. Now every view carries a subtle visual echo of light seeping through a pane of glass window.
Season Info: Lumy now shows both astronomical and meteorological seasons. So we’ll know exactly when summer ends, spring begins, or the next equinox or solstice is approaching.
Key Interactions and Visuals Enhancements:
- A more immersive atmosphere that simulate natural light.
- For users who prefer simpler visuals, enhanced the existing classic visuals with shimmering rays and soft glitters.
- A new time travel slider that snaps to sun events with haptic feedback.
- Quick Access Button: Tap to open. Long-press to slide through options. Keeps common actions fast and fluid.
- Touch-responsive buttons that respond precisely where our finger touches.
- New onboarding flow to get oriented with ease without much intrusion.
- Dynamic Type support for better readability across text sizes.
- VoiceOver support for users who rely on screen readers.
- Respects accessibility preferences like Reduce Motion, Reduce Transparency, and Increased Contrast.
- Smoother, more natural animations throughout the app for a refined feel.
