Sawti is designed to properly guide beginners and help them get quick results on their way to successful singing. The exercises are tailored to your voice, so you'll always feel comfortable on the path to real singing.

Learning to sing is easy: we use the familiar "hit the bars" concept, where the little ball moves with the pitch of your voice - in real time! Make sure you hit the bars to successfully complete an exercise. You'll start with single notes, followed by simple phrases and songs, and rhythm exercises.

Sawti means "My Voice" in Arabic and was originally developed to help hundreds of young female music teachers in Jordan, where vocal training is not readily available. It is the first and only app based on the "Wirth Method", the pedagogical concept of Prof. Gerald Wirth, artistic director of the Vienna Boys Choir.

EDUCATIONAL CONCEPT

The Wirth Method is a general music education based on singing, especially choral singing. It combines the best practices of traditional music teaching and develops them further by defining specific content and elements that are essential for the highest standards. These are taught through a series of support pillars, using appropriate tools for each teaching situation.

ABOUT PROF. GERALD WIRTH

Gerald Wirth received his initial musical training as a member of the Vienna Boys Choir and at Anton Bruckner University in Linz, Austria, where he studied voice, oboe and piano. He became artistic director of the Vienna Boys Choir in 2001 and its president in 2013.

From 1986 to 1989, Wirth was choir director with the Vienna Boys' Choir and led one of its four touring choirs. Between 1989 and 1991, he was chorus director of the Salzburg Opera. In Canada, he was artistic director of the Calgary Boys' Choir and musical director of the Calgary Civic Symphony. Wirth has conducted choirs and orchestras around the world, and he can make virtually anyone and anything sing. Wirth's first love is the human voice.
