Talabat: Food, grocery & more 4+

The App is alright or maybe I have a different set of standards, if management ever reads this! Feedback is a crucial part of constructive evolving towards a corporation, where Talabat is really good at taking feedback but changes are seldom recognized. Company; vendor relations are essential in your line of business to better be able to deliver on customer experience and satisfaction along with setting a method of compensation towards problem handling. ( Free delivery doesn’t make food taste better, or hotter). In addition a standard towards content is imperative as well, enforcing content and descriptions on offerings is a golden selling technique where most items for the majority of vendors isn’t well described or presented ( I see it, I buy it)!
Adding a feature where dietary preferences is noticed would also be a plus for many people such as ( pescatarians, vegans, vegetarians etc...)

Maybe it’s a personal issue but I really despise the app’s design. There is this huge header on top that almost takes half of the screen (And I have the huge iphone pro max screen) whenever you click on a restaurant’s menu. It minimizes when you scroll down but it goes back to its normal size as soon as you scroll up, even though you are not at the top of the page. It’s a design flaw for sure, as it should go back to it’s normal size only when you scroll to the top.

The app could also use some widgets that you can add to the home screen. It could be useful for showing info about your current order.

The service is not perfect either. Sometimes when a restaurant can’t provide a certain item you ordered, they ask you if you want to replace it, they can’t just refund you the item’s price(if paid by card). Either you cancel the whole order or replace the missing item for something else of the same value. This has happened to me multiple times. And it’s very annoying, for me, and for the restaurant. I have tried other service providers and they deal with this issue in a much better way. They just refund you the missing item’s price so you don’t have to reorder everything again!

So if you use this talabat app to buy groceries from their own talabatmart store (or any other store or restaurant) and they don't have some of the items you ordered, instead of refunding the missing items, they give you expiring talabat credit for it instead. They used to have a well hidden button where you can resend that credit back to your credit card but now they even removed that. I contacted their support and they lied to me twice. First they said to use the button which no longer exists and then they claimed they will request sending the refund to credit card and that their refund department will respond to my request in 30 minutes, of course they never responded at all. No reputable online business or app forces customers to spend refunds for payment on services they did not render to spend that money in their store. It is their fault the item wasn't in stock, they could easily charge only for the in stock items, or refund back the amount charged for out of stock items to credit card instead they are greedy and disreputable especially since they removed the option from the app all together and their support lie to people and do not respond to credit card refund requests.
