Star Wars™: Galaxy of Heroes
Strategy RPG & team battles
The galaxy might be far, far away, but it only takes a tap or two to hang out with your favourite heroes and villains in Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.
This sublime turn-based strategy game from EA and developer Capital Games has become the best place to meet up with just about every major player in the mythology. Original trilogy, prequels, new trilogy, offshoots, cartoons – if it’s a Star Wars character, chances are you’ll find it in here.
And thanks to countless updates since its launch in 2015, you’ll find a lot more than that.
A hive of scum and villainy (and good guys, too!)
‣ Looking for powerful playable characters? Galaxy of Heroes has a universe of ’em. Well over 150 famous faces are available to unlock, from your garden-variety Stormtroopers to Luke, Leia, Chewie, Vader and the Emperor.
But it runs far deeper than the big names. Potent characters from the broader Star Wars canon are here in full force. Grand Admiral Thrawn, Bossk, Ahsoka Tano, Bastila Shan, Ezra Bridger, Enfys Nest and many, many more transform Galaxy of Heroes into one of the most comprehensive Star Wars games ever created.
Never tell my team the odds!
‣ Galaxy of Heroes’ incredible roster isn’t just for show. Each character works in harmony with others; mix and match the multitudes to create powerful squads. One Ewok? Not so tough. A full team of upgraded furballs? An Endorian smackdown.
Recent updates to the late game allow your Empire team to go to the next level courtesy of a revamped Mod system that gives players even more agency over how their characters turn out. No two Darth Vaders are the same (though both are probably pretty tough).
Fully operational battle stations
‣ TIE fighters. X-Wings. The Millennium Falcon. Ships are as essential as characters in Star Wars—and it’s no different in Galaxy of Heroes. Ship Battles put you in the cockpit of some of the most famous spacecraft in the universe.
From Boba Fett’s Slave 1 to Grand Moff Tarkin’s Capital Ship, build fleets and take them into battle. Ships and characters have a symbiotic relationship: the stronger the character, the more potent the ship. Got a 7-Star Phoenix Squadron? Unlock the Rebel team’s Ghost ship and the enemy won’t know what hit ’em.
Begun, the Mode War has
‣ It wouldn’t be Star Wars without massive battles – and that’s finally come to Galaxy of Heroes in the form of Territory Wars. These massive, guild-versus-guild conflicts span several days of planning and strategising, culminating in a back-and-forth fight for control of a map.
And that’s just the start. Territory Battles let your guild take on challenging campaigns. Raids offer steep challenges – defeating a Rancor or a trio of Sith Lords – for great rewards. Most recently, the Grand Arena lets solo players test their might against each other in smaller, squad-focused matches on the Holotable. Don’t let the Wookiee win!
