What barcode/QR code can do and why do you need QR BarCode App on your telephone? They are everywhere in stores, in books, games, videos, and sometimes even in films. Barcodes are mostly used in stores, warehouses, etc. For sure you know what barcodes in the store do. But what does a QR code do?

Let’s start with “what is QR code?”
“QR” is short for Quick Response code, basically, it is an upgraded version of the barcode. The most common thing that QR codes contain is URLs. URLs are only the beginning! QR codes can contain text, geolocation, phone numbers, addresses, email address, etc.

How does it work?
Barcodes are mechanically scanned. In this process reflection of light from the barcode is used. Light reflects from gasps between the black lines. QR codes on the other hand are digitally scanned. They are made of pixels and those pixels can be read by your cell phone camera and transformed into content that QR code contains by the processor. To scan with your mobile QR code you will also need an app. This is the reason why you will need a QR BarCode App on your telephone.
