本アプリケーションは、東京都千代田区にある 日枝神社についてのトピックや当神社で開催されるイベントをより知っていただき、楽しんでいただく為に制作しました。
【山王祭とは】
日枝神社の山王祭とは、例年6月に行われ、その間には献茶式や稚児行列など大小さまざまな祭典が執り行われます。江戸城守護の神であったことから江戸幕府が祭礼の費用をだしたことから、「天下祭」「御用祭」とも呼ばれていました。
【例祭と神幸祭】
山王祭の中でも最も重要なお祭りが、毎年6月15日に行われる例祭と、隔年で行われる神幸祭です。
例祭は全国どの神社でも行われる、神社にとって最も重要な祭儀で、神社の縁の深い日にちが定められています。
神幸祭は神様を鳳輦に乗せて氏子各町を巡る行事で、現在は神田明神と交互に隔年で行われています。もともと日枝神社が江戸城内に祀られていた由緒により江戸城の中に渡御し、それを歴代将軍の上覧を受けました。現在も天下祭の名にふさわしく、絢爛豪華な装束をつけた約500人の行列で、氏子各町20キロメートル近くの距離を歩きます。
