台灣平均年降雨量約 2,500 公釐，是世界平均值的 2.6 倍，可以說是全世界中，降雨量最豐沛的國家之一。但是由於近年來春雨的減少，加上颱風侵襲的數量銳減，造成台灣嚴重的乾旱，突顯了如何針對現有之水庫供水調配及有效利用水資源之重要性，因此，關心水庫水情、如何提早進行儲水備用，儼然成為了我們日常生活的課題之一。
•「水庫水情」可以提供民眾關於台灣水庫的即時資訊，簡潔乾淨的操作介面讓使用者一目了然。
• 即時水情資料係自記儀器自動產生，未經人工完整檢驗，僅提供參考。
• 各項水庫資料由各水庫管理單位在每日輸入，更新時間不一致。（部分水庫星期六、日之資料則在星期一統一輸入）
