- Use Voice Search for hands-free browsing! Just hold the plus sign, speak your searches, and watch the magic happen. Perfect for when you’re on the move.
- Add an Arc Search widget to your home screen by pressing an app or empty area until the apps juggle, tapping the plus sign in the top left corner, and selecting the Arc Search widget in your preferred size. Use the widget to quickly access voice search or synced spaces with one tap.
- Optimize your viewing preferences with two new tab controls: Page Zoom and Request Desktop Website. Tap the up arrow in the bottom right corner to check them out!
- Swipe more smoothly from the middle of the page with improved gesture control — reducing accidental swipes back.

検索エンジンこれでいいや
とあるYouTuberが動画で解説していたので入れてみましたが検索する上で本当に使いやすいです！
簡潔に良いところをまとめてみました。
・アプリ開いたらすぐ検索バー
・検索する際、文字を打ちbrowser for meと書いてあるところを押せばAIが複数サイトを駆け回り要点をまとめて出してくれる。しかも絵文字や写真もあるので見やすいし、そこから気になったサイトに直で飛べる←なんならこの機能がこのアプリのメインかも
・複数タブを整理する際iPhoneユーザーならお馴染みの横にズラッと並んだタブ。それが見やすい！
・サイトの行き来がしやすい！
・もちろんSafariやGoogle、Yahooのように普通の検索エンジンとして使える
と挙げるならこのくらいでしょうか。
他の検索エンジンと比べて良い点はやはりAIが自動で要点をまとめて提示してくれるとこですね。気になったことがすぐ分かったり大事なことを見逃さながったりと、とても使い勝手がいいです！
このアプリは「調べる」といった過程をスムーズに行うために作られたそうなので、この使いやすさには納得です❕
NYで再発明されたインフラ
初めてMacに移行したとき、途端にWindowsの欠陥を自覚し、もう二度と戻れないと感じました。ChromeやSafariの代わりにArcを試すと、それと同じ感想を抱きます。Arc for Macは既に単なるブラウザーではなく、MacOSのなかで機能する小さなOSになっています。ブラウザーと呼ぶしかありませんが、より現代に即した、自然で人間的なブラウザー以上の存在です。ついにモバイル版もリリースされる運びになりました。
当座の特筆すべきは、インターフェースと速度です。appを開くと直ちに検索できる合理的なレイアウトはたしかに気に入りました。むしろ他のブラウザーが意図的に複雑にしていると感じるくらいです。また、公式がchromeやsafariの2倍と表現したのは冗談ではなく、起動から各動作に至るレスポンシブを実感できます。きびきび動くんですね。safariよりも断然最適化の印象を受けるのは面白いところです。
いまのところ、for Macに見られるtab管理やspace機能は存在しません。が、1-2ヶ月のうちにfor Macとの同期が実装されるらしいので、時間の問題だと思います。既に既存ブラウザーより好きなブラウザーですが、たぶん早晩、比較の余地もなくなる予感があります。
検索することが楽しくなった
自分は検索する事が得意ではなくて、欲しい情報といらない情報の取捨選択ができない場面が今までたくさんありました。でも、Arc searchはさまざまなサイトを要約して情報を提供してくれるので検索苦手な僕でも簡単に要点を理解することができます！
Arcで検索するようになってから調べることが楽しくなって今では逆に、どうでも良いことまで調べてしまっています笑笑
