いつもお世話になってます！でも……

大規模サーバーに入り書き込みを楽しく見ています。discordがなかったらこういうことはやらなかったと思うので、感謝しています。公式Twitterもかわいい。

ただ、改善していただければもっと使い勝手がよくなるのにな……という点が個人的に2個あります。よければ改善のほどよろしくお願いいたします。

1、通話中にスマホのアラームがなるとマイク、スピーカー共に聞こえなくなる
フレンドと通話を行っている最中にスマホの目覚まし時計が鳴るとマイクも相手の音も聞こえなくなり、通話に入り直すことでしか改善できません。
もしかしたらスマホ側の仕様だったりするのかもしれませんが、discordの方でどうにかできるものであれば、していただけると今後今以上に快適なdiscord生活が送れます。

2、誤通話をかけてしまいやすい
サーバーの書き込みを見ている時に誤タップで通話をかけてしまいやすいUIなのかなと思います。私自身大規模サーバーを見ている時に知らない人に通話をかけてしまったことが2回ほどあります。
手軽さもdiscordの魅力の一つとは思いますが、UIをもう少し変えてかけにくくする、フレンド以外通話を不可にするなどして誤通話を減らせるようにしていただけると幸いです。

あまり関係がないですが、通話中にカメラをワンタップでオンにできることで事故ったことがあるのでオンにする前にワンクッション挟んでいただけると大変ありがたいです。

最後になりますが、discordには本当にいつもお世話になっています！2人で通話をしている時片方が通話を抜けても通話が切れない仕様であったり、リアクション機能であったり、他のSNSにはないユニークで便利な機能が多いです。ユーザーが多く色々大変なこともあると思いますが、応援しています！

Amazing.

It’s great! Really. It has a lot of cool mechanics a lot of social media platform’s don’t have.
But I’m having an issue with the notifications on my phone outside of Discord.
Lately, I haven’t been getting any notifications or any notification bars from Discord and Discord ONLY when I’m outside. Other apps work fine except for Discord. The notifications inside Discord are working fine but as soon as I leave the app the notifications all stop.
I’ve tried EVERYTHING and NOTHING seems to work.
I turned on every notification possible yet I don’t get any notifications m.
It could just be my phone or it could be Discord. Please someone for the love of god tell me what’s happening and how to fix it.

What is with all of these updates?

Okay so basically context: My old iPad had discord not updated, it still had the old text, no Snow’sgiving, it was fun to use like that, then I moved to my new iPad and downloaded it with LOTS of updates, I really didn’t like them, here’s my list of questionable updates: 1. You click the video to watch it and the it just automatically enters the video? Like you can’t watch the video outside of that black screen when someone sends it? It just automatically enters the video, you can’t watch the video when you’re typing or seeing your friend type, just this 2. Why the squished images? I loved the separated images, I was so used to those until yesterday I sent 5 images and checked later, they looked like a magazine, it kinda made me feel weird and confused, I didn’t think we needed this, it doesn’t make it cleaner for me at all. It only makes it look like a moodboard. So yeah, those are my questions, sorry if you have good reasoning for this i just had a pet peeve towards them, I don’t know if I forgot any but I’m really sorry for this.

Adding some issues: WHY does it crop the images and we have to click to see the whole thing. This isn’t twitter

Horrible forced ui update

Turned auto updates off, only for discord to update the ui on its own. Horrible. Been using it for years, and the sudden change is terrible.

You can no longer see who is online easily, what images are pinned. Dms moved to the bottom of the screen instead of having a separate one, and now I can no longer easily see which of my friends are active in general! Wow great! It's fu\\ing ridiculous. The colors are different, it's hard to see. And best of all, they removed the toggle to switch back to the old ui and patched any other ways to reverse it! Amazing! Perfect handling of the situation! Maybe if the devs actually listened to the users it would be a different story. Sucks to cancel nitro and move to other apps, but this is borderline unusable at this point. Thank you <3

Completely eye straining new update

I honestly, no exaggeration, have never seen a layout so eye straining and difficult to use. The developers have taken an easy to view and access layout and changed it entirely all at once, claiming that to be a “smooth transition” to this new format? That doesn’t make any sense to me. Nothing is placed where it should be, if you want to view anything now you have to go through several different tabs, and the coloring is jarring. To refuse to change it because the developers think it is better when i have not seen a single positive opinion on it can only be described as selfish. I have even heard others say that Nitro may not be worth it for them anymore, as this lower quality isn’t what they’ve paid for. I just don’t understand any of the appeal that the developers have stressed. Please keep your userbase in mind when making such drastic changes and have the people decide what they prefer. They are the ones using and paying for your application, after all.

Discord Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Discord as of today I have deleted and redownloaded Discord again for IOS issues I am experiencing; I am 100% regretful of doing so, cause I am disgusted on the UI “ improvement “ your team has made. These improvements have made me become frustrated when NAVIGATING the app be cause NOW I have to CHOOSE A SEVER THEN CHOOSE THE CHAT ROOM AND THE WORST PART IS THAT THE CHAT ROOM NOW GOES FULL SCREEN SO IF I WANT TO CHOOSE ANOTHER CHAT ROOM I CANT JUMP BETWEEN CHAT ROOMS QUICKLY I HAVE TO EXIT THE PAGE AND CHOOSE THE CHATROOM WHICH TAKE MORE TIME AND IS LESS EFFICIENT which means that THE UI CHANGES ARE NOT AN “ IMPROVEMENT “ IT’S A DOWN GRADE. With the old UI I COULD DO ALL THOSE THINGS IN LESS THAN A SECOND NOW IT TAKES TO LONG AND MUCH MORE CONFUSING WHEN IT COMES TO NAVIGATING THE APP. If you want to change the UI why not consult the community to see if the changes you are making are actually any good, or better yet why not add the tool to Discord so that people can have more freedom and let them choose there UI set up to there comforts and preferences. Now DISCORD feels more like GOOGLE CLASSROOM not a good image “DISCORD.”

I use discord on mobile

The thing I liked about discord was being able to swipe from the left to choose and pick from server to dm and dm to server and dm to dm and server to server but with the new one you can swipe from the left and choose only from server to server and dm to dm but with server to dm there’s an extra annoying step of changing the tab from the bottom. Why change something that was convenient ?

Another thing i have a problem with in the new update is the pins , maybe it’s just me but I liked being able to see what the image I pinned was , with this new one it’s just a box written image on it and i have to click it to check if it was what I was looking for, it’s all in all a very dissatisfying experience for me now. still my friends are there so I can’t go away but I wish there was a way to revert to the old design.

Maybe you’re just changing and updating things to keep your job so if that is so I really can’t blame you and nothing will happen even if people find it difficult to navigate , at this point I wish that if you ever update again in the future I hope it’ll be closer to the one we were used to . Things doesn’t have to be the same as other apps. It doesn’t have to be chunky and full of clatter it can just be simple and maybe it’s just me but I really liked simple.

miserable

been using discord since 2018. it’s my main way to talk to my friends, both online and irl, since i don’t have any other social media. i accidentally turned on the new UI, and now the app is kind of unusable! thanks!!! here are a few of the things i really don’t like!
- the general look of the app sucks— the contrast is too high on the normal dark mode now, and it hurts my eyes
- swiping left in a server channel or group dm doesn’t bring up the user list, it starts a reply. this sucks and it makes it more time consuming to check who’s online
- using the search function in a server now only searches the channel you’re in??? why on earth would you make it more time consuming to use the function that’s supposed to help people find things in (especially larger) servers easily????? this REALLY sucks.
- having statuses of currently online friends displayed above dms (even if i never dm with that person) feels very much like an attempt to mimic instagram stories/that kind of vibe, and it’s just unnecessary to show every time i open messages. it becomes really overwhelming to have to see more words and images than i want to, constantly
- discord looks completely different between phone and computer, which makes it feel a lot less streamlined.

there have been other issues but those were the most prominent for me. i just think it’s a really bad move to implement a new UI and not allow people to change back to the old one if they so choose. i understand the want to optimize the app for mobile users, but the amount of people who use discord across multiple platforms + want a unified, non eye hurting experience, is far larger than the amount of people who just use it on their phone. also, it’s kind of ironic that an app with so many individually customizable features has removed the option for a good UI. overall, this kind of massive change is very unwelcome and i don’t think it’s beneficial for anyone involved. the app is now far more difficult even for longtime users. even just bringing back the option for the old UI would be good enough. this new update really sucks and i feel like it may not be worth paying for a subscription to an app that’s only usable on one platform (and not the one that i carry around with me everyday). i really liked discord, but this has been extremely disappointing and i hope that the dev team will listen to the community and give back the option to use the UI of our choosing.

Great but flawed...

The app looks really nice and works well for the most part. Unfortunately, the biggest issue I’ve had with it over the last few years still hasn’t been fixed... The app forces you to log back in CONSTANTLY.

I don’t know if this is some sort of issue with how you’re handling token refreshing, but could I suggest just saving the username/password to the secure Keychain and performing any required future logins automatically? You could even make it toggleable with a “Remember Me” switch if that were the issue.

Until then, personally, the app is just too annoying for me to use :(

The application may log you out automatically if there's an update or if you change your account information too many times in a short period. Enabling 2FA may help!

Not supported for iPad

With each new update it goes from bad to worse.
First the putting the record button next to the emoji icon is a bad UI design. The number to times i see my friends accidentally sending recorded messages unintentionally are endless. Secondly, the + icon is completely gone since a few updates ago. Thirdly is the worst, the Emoji, GIFs and Stickers options are gone. I can’t send stickers or gifs coz there’s no way to select them at all. Instead of continuously adding more content please fix your bugs first. Move that manpower developing new functions to the help desk team.
