My go-to app
This is the best app I’ve ever used in life. in this day and age, using app to improve English is the way to go. After going through some of the basic English, working on Distinction app is gonna be more than enough to make your English next level. As an English learner, I ’ve been banging the drum for ATSU. Props to you guys, I have come a long way in speaking English.
アプリは気楽に勉強しやすい(1点めちゃくちゃ改善して欲しい点あり)
多分このレビューを見ている人の多くは本とアプリのどちらにしようか迷ってる人が多いと思います。(本当はどっちも欲しいけど)私もその1人で、携帯性と音声学習を重視してアプリにしました。そこで感じたアプリの良さと、本ならできるのになという所を上げていきます。
アプリの良さ
・通勤通学や寝る前ベッドでなどスマホさえあればどこでも学習できる。本を開かなくていいのでどんな体勢でも基本的に読める。
・忘却曲線にそってアプリが暗記学習を手厚くサポートしてくれる。
・いざ実際に英会話する時に、あれなんだったっけとなった際、検索バーからすぐに検索できる。
・本と同様にメモを入力できる。
・英語の部分を押すと自動ですぐに音声が聞けること。
本の方がいいのではと思う点
・アプリでは見出し語一覧をスクロールして見れるが、実際に押して開くまで意味を見られない。本は見開きなので一度にスラスラと情報が見れる。
・あのページの何個目などと関連付けて覚えられる。
・所有欲。
以上を踏まえてのアプリの希望の改善点
・「見つける」タブで見ることができる一覧の見出し語の横か下にちっちゃくでもいいので意味、日本語訳を見れるようにして欲しい。(これはかなり切望しています。これさえあればもうこのアプリの価値がものすごく上がります)
・iPhoneとiPadなどの複数端末でシームレスに使えるような仕様に改善して欲しい。
通勤通学中などに勉強したい人や音声を聞いて学習したい人はアプリの方がおすすめです。上の改善点の1つ目が実現されれば星6あげたいぐらい良い学習アプリです！
発音認識はあえて厳しくなっている？
ありがたく使わせていただいています。日本で暮らしていては、たとえ継続的に勉強していても出会わない英語が多く、学ぶことが多いです。
バグ申告等にも迅速に対応していただけますし、ほとんど満点の気持ちですが、発音の認識だけが気になります。
私自身の話をすると、赤ちゃんの頃から英語に触れていて、ペラペラにはなれなかったものの発音には自信があります（アメリカ英語です）。Googleの音声入力やSiriも、普段から聞き取ってくれています。
ですが、こちらのアプリで発音練習をすると、アクセントや発音を変えて何度トライしてもGoodにならないイディオムにごくたまに遭遇します。単純にそれを発話するときだけ下手なのかと思い、Google翻訳などで音声入力してみるときちんと聞き取ってもらえます。
これが意図的に厳しい判定をされているのか、精度が低いのか不明です。精度がアプリひとつひとつで変わったりしない気もするのですが…どうなのでしょうか？
ただ、アプリに収録されている音声と自分の音声を聞き比べても大きな差があるとは思えず、音が遠かったりこもったりしているわけでもありません。それだけでタスクが完了出来ない事にストレスを感じます。
もしATSUさんこだわりの鬼判定でしたら、アプリの中でレベルを分ける事はできないでしょうか？伝われば良い英語、完璧なネイティブ発音、目指すところは人それぞれだと思うので、ご検討のほどよろしくお願いいたします。
単純な不具合の場合は、解消される日を待とうと思います。
本当にただ発音悪い恥ずかしいヤツだったら目も当てられませんが…
長々と文句を書いてしまいましたが、内容は素晴らしいです。いつもありがとうございます。
