The app experience alone makes it worth it

Most people who are considering downloading this app are already bought into the idea of subscribing to Dropout content. The main deciding factor for me was whether the app adds anything or if one should just use their website. The short answer is that it does add a lot.

The main benefits to using the app are the picture-in-picture feature and the podcast style controls from the lock screen. Dropout has a large amount of content that doesn’t have an important visual element, so having the ability to just listen to that content makes it a lot more accessible. I actually feel like the only reason my subscription is worth it is because of these features that enable me to continue consuming their shows when I’m away from the computer.

In the evenings

after a long shift of dancing and shouting nouns at small children, I like to change into a silky-smooth adult diaper, and a set of ancient, miscolored pajamas of a cotton-rayon blend, kick back with a bottle of Sekai no Kitchen Salty Litchi that has already been finished off and refilled with tap water, a scallion pancake slathered in hummus and dreams, turn on my iPad a douse myself with a load of much funny shenanigans from many wonderful weirdos who owe their very livelihoods to an economist who makes videos about how rich CEOs are naughty. Saluti, Dropout!

Love it

It all started with their YouTube channel which made me realize that CollegeHumor is one of the best thing ever existing in this f’ed up world. Since I really hate YouTube with all of their ads and weird video structuring I decided it would be best to use Dropout to watch all of their videos, the result: IT’S F’ing GREAT! The app is okay (in terms of design and stuff) and works pretty well, only thing though, Vimeo as a video player, really? Overall, I’ve had the best experience so far, and will continue using their service, since it offers lots of interesting videos :)
