Whether you are on a service call on site or answering service requests on the hotline, with the Field Service App you can answer even difficult requests quickly and easily. The app protects your information and handles customer data in compliance with the GDPR.  

Highlights:
Mobile knowledge hub:
The app brings together all relevant information from all systems in a knowledge hub. With the help of an intelligent search, you can find the service knowledge you need in your company at any time. Use the mobile version of Empolis Service Express® without any functional difference to the desktop version.

Offline availability:
No mobile network available? No problem. Thanks to fully automated data synchronization, you always have the latest service information with you on your smartphone or tablet.

Create and share service knowledge:
Create and edit new service notes directly in the app. Add further solution steps, photos or videos to existing service knowledge and share it directly with your team colleagues.
Community and team knowledge:
If you are unable to solve a problem, the app offers you the opportunity to find a solution together with colleagues and experts. Community and Team Knowledge identifies the right contacts based on their skills and automatically creates a corresponding chat. As soon as a joint solution has been found, the chat is closed, and the solution is saved for the future.

Data security:
The knowledge captured and your data are stored securely on German servers. Thanks to the Privacy Shield, you can always guarantee that your information and customer data is handled securely in accordance with the strict European data security guidelines.

New functions and improvements in 4.22
Knowledge Home:
Two new widgets were added: The Notes widget lets you access the editor for notes. The QR Code widget can be customized with individual functionality for your tenant, which you can then access simply by scanning a QR code.
Users who have access to multiple home pages can now select which one they want to use.
As an administrator, you can enable a blur effect on the background image of widgets. This effect now also applies to the Field Service App.
Search:
As an administrator, you can enable an alternative behavior for hierarchical filters. The selected behavior now also applies to the Field Service App.
As an administrator, you can configure the result list to contain missing search terms to help your users better understand the results. This setting now also applies to the Field Service App.
As an administrator, you can suppress the search results for empty searches. This setting now also applies to the Field Service App.
External links – As an administrator, you can configure that a document is added to the user’s history when following the document’s external link. This configuration now also applies to the Field Service App.
Log-in – Users who have been logged in for more than 28 days must now refresh their session by re-entering their log-in credentials.
Localization – Translations for new features were added across all languages.
Performance improvements:
The background processes for synchronizing metadata have been refactored and accelerated.
The background processes for downloading files have been refactored and accelerated.
The user’s downloaded files are checked constantly for changes against the platform to keep the files up to date. This background check was refactored to reduce the amount of transferred data.
Bug fixes in 4.22
Profile:
Fixed an issue that triggered the display of the “Complete Profile” dialog window, although this should have been suppressed by configuration.
Fixed a display issue that made parts of the last name invisible in the profile editor.
Topics – Fixed an issue that suppressed the “Download all connected topics” dialog window when downloading a topic.
Viewer:
Fixed a display issue of the action menu on procedures in offline mode.
Fixed an issue that opened a document with the HTML instead of the PDF viewer.
Fixed an issue with missing highlighting for matching search terms in downloaded documents when navigating between documents in the viewer.
Fixed a display issue with labeled images in documents.
My Files:
Fixed an issue which prevented that deleted bookmarks were removed from the list.
Fixed an issue where subscriptions were displayed on the “Notes” tab when switching back and forth between tabs.
