Very helpful
Potential Influence of Companies on Content
While it's important to consider various perspectives when reading company reviews, I find that it can sometimes be challenging to fully trust their accuracy. I've noticed that certain critical reviews don't get approved, which could potentially keep important information from reaching prospective employees.
Additionally, I've encountered reviews that are very brief and don't offer substantial insight, leading me to wonder if they might have been solicited by the companies themselves for promotional purposes.
Regarding the app's functionality, I preferred the previous version. The current update seems to send notifications that I find less relevant or useful. I would appreciate an option to customize notifications to better suit my preferences, which could enhance the user experience and prevent unnecessary uninstalls.
Thank you for your continuous efforts and I hope to see improvements in future updates.

CIS/BCIS
I have never been so dumbfounded by a company enough to compel me to write a review of warning to other prospective teachers until I applied to Colombia International / BCIS school.
The initial interview was a two and a half hour Skype interview. There were two onsite ( different locations) interviews as well as FOUR demo lessons. The first red flag should have been when the interviewer started bad mouthing his current staff, even going so far as to “getting one fired”. Another employee was perhaps getting fired as well because of a medical incident. These are things candidates do not need to know.
When I got to the first school, only one teacher out of four smiled at all. My first demo was appraised for about five minutes by my interviewer, who spent that time playing with his phone and later told me “ I’ve seen better and I’ve seen worse”.
When it was time to take the students to the park, I was horrified that they tether six together like a prison chain gang and lead them by a leash. The teacher student ratio was appropriate enough where they could have safely held hands, but I guess it was easier for the staff to just drag them there. When we got to the park, only one staff member ( the only teacher who smiled) interacted with the children . Two others acted like prison guards with scowls on there faces while the fourth talked to me. This conversation was more bad mouthing of his staff. It was obvious no one particularly cared for their co workers. The tension was thick and uncomfortable. The staff was anything but friendly.
When they suggested I might like their other school ( BCIS) because it was closer to me, I was relieved. However there were even more issues there.
The vice principle refused to respond to any questions via email. This was nerve racking, because I was just trying to verify the time for the interview because the email I finally received had the wrong date on it. When I tried to clarify this, there was no response. The other school said they had issues with her email practices, but pretty much washed their hands with following through. I finally got a hold of her by phone the morning “ I had hoped” there was still an interview. Then I finally received what I thought was helpful info ( monthly theme, how many students, their ages and correct time.) It was difficult to plan a lesson while catching trains. They also would not give me any directions other than the google map they sent me and I found it by luck.
The person in charge of the second school said she “ can’t respond to email because all of the students personal information is on her phone and she can’t take it from work.”
This is the dumbest thing I ever heard, and she volunteered this to me. Probably because my last email said “ I have attempted to contact you several times,if you do not respond I will assume you have lost interest in interviewing me.”
I have never heard of this. I like to work at places where my boss is accessible...you know, if the train is late or something.
The kids liked my lessons, but I guess the staff did not. No hire.
No loss.
