iPad

Globe for iPad is a Geography app which shows the countries of the world on a 3D globe - you can manipulate the globe with the normal iPad gestures — drag your finger or use a rotate gesture to rotate the globe; pinch to zoom in and out. Search for a country and the globe will rotate to show that country. Tap on a country to show country information from Wikipedia.

Hello Alan,I teach English to Elementary school children in Japan. I'm using your Globe app on my iPad. The students get a kick out of searching for countries and zooming in and out to reveal more details. The one problem we face is that there is no wifi internet access in my classroom. If we accidentally tap on a country data from Wikipedia tries to load but is quickly replaced by an Error -1009 message. Is it possible for you to add a setting in an updated version which allows users to disable all Wikipedia links for a given occasion?Thank you for making your app available for free. Google Earthが出た時は世界中を旅できる感じがしましたが、このアプリは国の情報に特化していて、世界旅行気分にはなれませんが、各国の情報が手軽に分かって楽しいです。
