Description
Google Authenticator adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts by adding a second step of verification when you sign in. This means that in addition to your password, you'll also need to enter a code that is generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone.
The verification code can be generated by the Google Authenticator app on your phone, even if you don't have a network or cellular connection.
• Sync your Authenticator codes to your Google Account and across your devices. This way, you can always access them even if you lose your phone.
• Set up your Authenticator accounts automatically with a QR code. This is quick and easy, and it helps to ensure that your codes are set up correctly.
• Support for multiple accounts. You can use the Authenticator app to manage multiple accounts, so you don't have to switch between apps every time you need to sign in.
• Support for time-based and counter-based code generation. You can choose the type of code generation that best suits your needs.
• Transfer accounts between devices with a QR code. This is a convenient way to move your accounts to a new device.

バックアップくらい、取ろう！
どのサービスも大体は2段階認証時に緊急復旧用の予備コードが出て「メモれよ！」って言われるはずなのでここで暴れている人たちは説明を読まない人たちなのです。
消費者は説明を読まないってのは全ての開発者にとって永遠の課題ですね
危険ゴミアプリ。入れてる方は違う２段階認証アプリにすぐ変えて！
被害者を増やさないために。
機種変や初期化後に大問題が発生します。
このアプリの設定がGoogleアカウント上に無く、端末上なのでGoogle側ではバックアップされていません。
Googleアカウントにログイン→再度以前のように使用可能ではないです。
突然壊れた場合や携帯紛失した場合も同じく。
日本では2年使ったら新端末へ、というキャリアのサービスありますが、その時も注意が必要。
あらかじめ設定をエクスポートしておけ（この意味がわからない方は入れるべきではないし、違う２段階認証アプリに変えましょう）という。
万が一のために色々な方法で端末のバックアップをしている方は多いでしょう。
iCloudではなく、PCを使って設定もバックアップされている方も多いでしょう。
しかし、このアプリの設定はバックアップされません。
例えばTwitterの２段階認証にコレ使ってる方、再度コレへの２段階設定が必要です。
新端末でTwitterにログインして再度設定、です。
ログインするためにこのアプリを使っていて、新端末。電話番号も登録していない場合どうやってログインしろと。
現在私は海外のサイトから一件回答待ちです。
それならMicrosoftから同じ名前で出ていて、Microsoftアカウントと連携し直すだけで元どおり使えるアプリ
ウイルス対策で有名なシマンテック社から出ているVIP Accessというアプリ（こちらは設定不要で新端末ですぐに使えました）
そちらを使うべきですし、すぐに移行した方がいいです。
星なんか付けたくないアプリ
久しぶりに出会いました。
Google側も、こんなもの公開するべきではないです。
機種変で困ってる方へ！諦めるなー☆
私も泣きそうになってましたが、PCあれば問題解決できるかも！
PCでGoogleアカウントにログイン後「セキュリティ」-「Googleへのログイン」-「2段階認証プロセス」の画面で「認証システムアプリ」の項目の「スマートフォンを変更」
「認証システムアプリからからコードを取得」の画面が表示されたら「iPhone」を選択して「次へ」をクリック。
「認証システムの設定」画面にQRコードが表示されるので、新機種のiPhoneのGoogle Authenticatorアプリを開いて「アカウント設定」-「バーコードをスキャン」からQRコードを読み込んで、または、メアドとコードをコピペで復活しますよー！
