多分悪くはない

無料プランで使ってますが特に問題はなさそう
バックアップ後にGoogleフォトにもアップロードされてるし、6月以降はこれを使うつもりです

追加してほしい機能としては定期的にバックアップの通知は欲しいかな
ユーザー設定で3日毎や1週間毎に通知があったらバックアップの目安にできそう

機種変更時に戻せるのかとかはやってないのでわかりません。

AIによる検閲とアカウント停止

昨年くらいから、アカウントが停止された話をよく聞きます。子供がいる家庭の親御さんたちが多いので、いろいろ聞き取りをしてみた結果、共通していたのが「子供のお風呂やプール遊びの写真を保存していた」こと。AIによる検閲が行われ、児童ポルノ所持としてのアカウント即時停止だったようです。

Googleは、過去から現在に至るまで、広告を配信したりする為に、我々がクラウドに保存したデータを解析し、時にこのような検閲をしています。アメリカには企業がそういった内容を発見した場合、報告をしないと罰せられる法律がある為、仕方のないことではあります。

AppleのiCloudは、iOS15の時に似たような機能を発表していましたが、取りやめを決定しています。手法的にGoogleのようなクラウド内のデータを調べるやり方ではなかったのですが、それでもやはり問題があると判断したのだと思います。英断だと思います。

GoogleとAppleは、企業の成り立ちも文化も違うのです。少し前には、独自ドメインを預けていた人たちを対象に「課金しなければアカウントを消す」という通達をして、問題にもなりました。これは私も対象でした。アカウントが消えると、それまでのアプリの購入履歴なども消えてしまうわけで、Googleがユーザのデータを人質に課金を要求した、とも言えるような状況でした。検閲されたり課金を強要されることで、アカウント停止に怯えなければならないようなクラウドサービスは使ってはいられません。

規約はGoogleが決めて改訂できるのです。

Appleとは違い、Googleは広告配信企業です。Googleにとってユーザのデータは、広告配信企業としてのGoogleに利益をもたらす為のものです。スマホユーザがデータを預けるにあたって、Googleが信頼に足る企業だとは思えません。

全てのユーザがいま一度、大切なデータを預けられる企業のサービスかどうか、しっかりと考え直した方が良いと思います。

VPN接続について

Google oneのサービスについてはとても満足していますが、VPNの機能について改善していただきたい点があります。海外等で、VPNを有効に出来ない回線があり、その回線に接続された場合、google oneはVPNの接続を繰り返し試みます。その際には、インターネット通信が出来なくなります。そうすると、google one上でvpnのon/offのメニューは表示されずvpnをoffすることができなくなります。(iPhoneのシステム設定から強制的にoffすることもできません) 上記の理由で、vpnがonの状態でvpn接続ができない回線に切り替わった場合、vpn接続可能な回線に再度接続するまでインターネット通信ができない状況になってしまいます。状況によっては、インターネット接続ができない状況が続くため、改善していただきたく、お願い致します。
