遠隔授業で助かっています

前まではセミナー受講者として使わせていただいていました。
今回コロナの影響で自分が授業を遠隔ですることになり、このzoom を活用しています。
40分制限はキツいですが、逆にコンパクトにまとめられ、時間管理のチカラもついてきたようにも感じます。
また、どうしても延長したい時は、小休止のあと再開しています。
再開後も100%集まれるので、ストレスはありません。
何よりもブレイクアウトセッションで受講生同士の意見交換や、ヘルプ機能での私とのやりとりが簡単なことが、このzoomの強みです。
また、話し合いの時間設定などもスマートで、ほかのテレビ会議システムとは比較にならないほど便利です。
チャット機能も活用することで、これまで意見をなかなか言わなかった人や、いつも後方にしか座らない消極的な受講生も画面共有によりスライドがよく見えるという副産物的な効果もありました。
オンラインはいろいろ制限がありますが、対面授業に戻っても活用できると感じています。

待合室、UI、急な仕様変更などの問題

iPad 9.7インチ第6世代を使用しています。

問題点はまず、一回で起動できない点です。
アイコンをタップして起動しようとすると、ずっと読み込み画面になり全くログインできません。
タスクを消してもう一度開くとログインできます。
これは毎回起動時に起こります。

次に、アップデート後、急に仕様が大きく変更されることが度々ありますが、いつも仕様の説明などがないので非常に不親切です。
特に、待合室が追加された時などは勝手がわからなかったので、通話画面が表示されるまでずっと待っていました。
相手側も映像が映らないので、ミーティングを退出してまたかけ直してという繰り返しでした。
仕事で使っているのでこれは非常に困ります。

そして一番の問題点は使い勝手の悪いUIデザインです。
例えば、私はいつも参加人数が多い会議を開くので、待合室の設定を解除します。
しかしこの待合室が、解除するためにはタップを２回しなければならないので面倒です。
これが一度設定すれば記憶する仕様ならいいのですが、毎回会議を開くたびに同じ操作をしなければならないので使うのが億劫です。
またこれはデスクトップ版でも同様です。
このような使いにくい仕様は他にも色々あるので、小さいストレスが溜まります。

会社で使うように言われているので仕方なく使っていますが、本当はSkypeを使いたいです。
Skypeよりもいい点は、画質がいい点、最近の使用者が多い点ぐらいですかね。
なぜこのソフトを皆好んで使っているのか理解できません。

Beware of viruses

I had to download this app in order to work from home, and the second I did, my phone blew up with viruses. I could hear weird noises coming from my own phone during the calls, and I would get taken to gross websites when I open safari. Don’t use this app, use discord or Skype, anything is better than this.
