Leafnote 4+

This is an excellent app, but as the previous person wrote, unlike other editor apps, it doesn't use Unicode or supports Japanese input by keyboard. It's very disappointing because the app is great. If this is compatible with Japanese, I think it will sell well in Japan.
I am not for sure but we can Copy & Paste Japanese texts, though the Japanese characters are very dim, I should say they are light gray.
And sometimes or rarely, I can input Japanese texts, I don't know why.
Any way, it is a great hierarchical editor for use in English.
Comments added on 4th July, 2022: In the description field (I mean right window), I made the Japanese texts into Bold styles, I could read the texts clearly. But in the items field(I mean left window), I couldn't make them into Bold style, so the items are still dim. And I hope the Leafnote to be correspondent to the Japanese keyboard, crucially.

(Japanese summary: このアプリは非常に素晴らしいのですが、前の方が書いていた様に、日本語入力に対応してないのが非常に残念です。日本語対応していれば日本でも売れると思うのですが。あと、確実とは言えませんが、日本語でもコピペは出来るみたいですが日本語部分は薄くて読みづらいです。まあとにかく、英語だけで使用する分にはとても良い階層型エディターだと思います。惜しい！)

レイアウトなどシンプルな感じで期待したのですが、大きく裏切られました。

最大の欠点は日本語処理が全くダメなことです。左側の部分には、そもそも日本語を打ち込むことが出来ません。打ち込もうとするとローマンアルファベットで表記されてしまいます（コピペなら可能）。右側ではなんとか日本語を打ち込むことができますが、フォントなどが固定されてしまっているのと、さらには、そのフォントの種類も大きさも一般的なものではなく、妙に小さく見るに堪えないものです。なんでこんなものでお金を取ろうとしたのか、理解に苦しみます。

将来ヴァージョンが上がったら、日本語もひょっとしたら使えるようになるのかもしれませんが、あまり期待はできないでしょう。OS Xの時代に、いまだにこんなアプリがあることに驚きました。
