I was hesitant but turns out its awesome

I’ve used this app for years and the new simpler design had me really worried. But once I started using it I realized I was flying though kanji faster than I have ever done. The simple design has help me focus and is less time consuming. It’s much easier to make a quick study session now when I’m microwaving food or waiting for the bathroom so something. 10/10 would recommend

Good not great

As you get to later kanji more difficult… it will say that you messed up… but I have no idea (this is on multiple kanji) what I did wrong. It doesn’t offer any advice… so sometimes it’s just a guessing game (oh it needs me to go one ml farther)

Tbh. It would be nice if there was actually some written guidelines for more tricky kanji.

“This line must be not be straight”
“Make sure you line isn’t longer than this”

Otherwise it’s just trail and error… and you’re never really sure why it keeps saying you’re wrong even when you do the strike order correctly.

Nice app

Nice app the only bad point is that there is no way to do a custom review allowing you to start from the kanji recognition instead of starting from the English word.
This means that when you do a custom review you will ALWAYS get the English word first and then you have to select the corresponding Japanese word + kanji and you cannot do a custom review starting from a kanji finding the English word.
So if you are looking to be able to read only and not to write, the custom review is useless.
