2よりも遊びやすい作品です

overkillシリーズは２をプレイ済みです。

ＳＦライクな世界観だった２とは一転してマフィアの抗争を題材にしています。
白黒と赤で描かれる色彩や敵のセリフが吹き出しに出るような漫画の様な演出が特徴的ですね。
一応、敵のみはoverkill１，２同様に３Ｄグラフィックで描かれています。
時代的には当然ですが、１・２にいたメカ系の的は一切登場せず、敵は全て人間タイプです。

基本的なシステム面ではこれまでのシリーズ同様にライフゲージの下のゲージが
満タンになるまで敵を撃ちまくるのは変わりませんが、本作では「民間人」が登場します。
撃つと一発で逮捕(ゲームオーバー)になるので、誤射にも気を付ける必要があります。
酒(前作でのメダル)を渡して逮捕を逃れることもできます。

２にあったPvPモードは現時点では実装されていませんが、
１～20のウェーブ戦の他にもサバイバル、ヘッドショットバトルは本作にもあります。
サバイバルやHSバトルにノルマが存在するのが２との違いですね。

配信から間もない事もあってか武器の種類はさすがに２より少ないものの、
レミントンやガーランド、トンプソンなど武器チョイスがなされています。
武器改造も健在で、少しずつ武器を改造していくのも楽しいです。

なお、武器改造はパーツを購入した後、改造完了まで実時間がかかるようになりました。
最初は数時間で済むものの、上位の武器は一か所の改造で３日もかかるようになります。

overkillシリーズ恒例の「命中率の低い武器は全く照準通りに飛ばない」は本作でも健在ですので、シリーズ未経験の方はACC(命中率)の数値で武器を選ぶのをオススメします。
初期武器は弾が当たればラッキーな精度しかないので早めに他の武器に乗り換えましょう。

メカ系の敵の有無や民間人の存在や武器改造の仕様など２との違いはありますが、
個人的には２よりも遊びやすくなっているように感じました。

難点としては初期武器が貧弱すぎるおかげで無課金ではとっつきにくいこと、
後半ステージでは敵の組み合わせによって詰み状態になること
たまにステージ終了後にメニューに移行する時のロードが終わらない状態になるなど、
気になる点もあるので-1とさせていただきました。
