good app

I like the application. It’s way better than any open source alternatives I tried to use (password gorilla and SWTPasswordSafe). Being compatible with pwsafe files is a big plus (compatible with the best Windows password app). Also, the iphone app is a great match.

However, it’s incompatible with OSX Snow Leopard, so I’m stuck with using an open source app on one machine. This wouldn’t be so bad, except that pwSafe mangled my pwsafe file, so that I wasn’t able to open it with Password Gorilla any more, so I’m stuck with the inferior SWTPasswordSafe.

Flawed iCloud implementation

The handling of iCloud in the UI is very confusing. The welcome screen has a pair of tabs to switch (presumably) between a list of iCloud safes and a list of safes stored locally on the Mac. However, even iCloud safes show up in the Mac list; so the iCloud tab seems pointless ...

Also, any newly created safe is always described as an "iCloud safe with 1 entry" regardless of which tab was selected when the user opted to create a safe. If I select the Mac tab before creating a safe, shouldn't that automatically be a local safe and not an iCloud one? Very puzzling.

iCloud issues aside, the program seems workable if a bit rudimentary, and probably deserves more than two stars. However, I've chosen to downrat the app because the price seems VERY step for a product with such obvious UI flaws.

After a half hour of testing I've decided that I won't be using this program after all, and am very much regretting my purchase.
