Description

ReviveAR is an app funded by the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership (ARORP) and developed in partnership with ARORP, the Arkansas Municipal League, the Association of Arkansas Counties, and the Office of the Arkansas State Drug Director.

The primary purpose of the app is to support Arkansans who are administering naloxone, which is a life-saving opioid reversal medication. The app provides written and audio instructions to administer naloxone in English, Spanish, and Marshallese (in progress). There is also the capability to call 911 through the app, which follows expert guidance for the process of administering naloxone.

The app also serves as a substance misuse resource guide for Arkansans. Users can report naloxone saves, find replacement naloxone and training opportunities, and access resources related to substance misuse prevention, treatment, recovery, and family support. Users can find their local Arkansas Drug Take Back box to safely dispose of unused prescription drugs, and they can learn more about the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership.

The app is targeted towards all Arkansans. To make progress in abating the opioid epidemic, we need to increase the capacity of Arkansans to prevent, treat, and recover from opioid use and opioid use disorders.
