Genius Scan is free to use for as long as you want.
Should you choose to, you can subscribe to the Genius Scan Plus plan for more features. You can subscribe to Genius Cloud for backup & synchronization. In that case, Genius Scan’s store displays the duration and price of each subscription, updated at the time of purchase. Payment will be charged to iTunes account when the order is confirmed. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off no later than 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage subscriptions, disable auto-renewal in the iTunes account settings.

Version 7.10
In Genius Scan 7.10, we have addressed several long-standing feature requests that will significantly enhance your user experience, particularly for those with more advanced business needs.
New Document Name Template Editor
Document name templates are a powerful feature of Genius Scan, allowing you to customize how your documents are named and create distinct naming patterns.
With document name templates, you can modify the date format used in your document titles, include a client's name in all your document names, or even specify a location.
We have completely overhauled the new document name template editor, making it easier to create templates through drag-and-drop functionality, resulting in a more streamlined user experience.
You can access the new editor in the Settings menu under General > Document Name Templates.
Auto-Crop Imported Documents
When importing scans from your Photos, Genius Scan will now automatically crop any detected document. This means that if you snap a document with your device's camera and then import it in Genius Scan, it will be cropped automatically, saving you quite a few taps. Auto-crop on import is on by default, but you can toggle it off if desired.
Support for Dropbox Team Folders
Genius Scan now offers support for Dropbox Team Folders, a feature that enables business teams to easily share documents with a group of people. You can now export documents directly to Dropbox Team Folders.
Bug fixes
- Fixed issue preventing user to connect a second OneDrive account when already logged in to a business account.
Other Enhancements
- Improved the appearance of the flash and batch buttons on the camera screen.
- Streamlined the Genius Cloud signup and login screens for a cleaner look.
- Implemented some cosmetic refinements to the settings screens.

シンプル、便利、日々使用
以前はクリアファイルで整理したり「押し出し式超整理法」でA4の封筒に入れて整理していたさまざまな書類、パンフレットなど、ほぼすべてをデジタル化しています。すべてこれでスキャンし、あるいは写真をとってPDF化して保存・整理すればこと足ります。
直近のバージョンアップ（2021年3月）で、日本語のファイル名変更が出来なくなるトラブルがあったため、アプリ開発元に問い合わせたところ、その日のうちに「直しました」と連絡があり、問題なく使えるようになりました。予想外のクイックレスポンスと丁寧な対応に、ますますこのアプリのファンになりました。
個人的に気に入っている点は
１）紙を置いてカメラをかざすと、多少ナナメから撮っても自動的に枠を紙にあわせてトリムしてくれます。この手のものの中では結構精度が高いので、あとで手動で補正する必要がない場合のほうが多いです
２）大量のファイルも分類設定できるので、必要なときに見返すのに便利です。ファイル名検索もできるので、たとえば「DVDデッキ」で検索して、購入時にスキャンしたこまごました書類を閲覧して製造番号を探し出すのもすぐにできます。
３）エクスポート機能をつかうと、wifi経由でPCにスキャンしたファイルを送れます。PC上ではすべてのファイル名が表示されるので、必要なものをクリックしてPC上にダウンロードすることができます。
途中で使うのをやめた機能は
１）自動バックアップ機能がついていますが、これは使うのをやめました。Googleドライブ、Dropbox、iCloudドライブなどにScanと同時進行で自動バックアップする機能がついていてしばらく利用していましたが、なにせ同時進行してしまうので、失敗して取り直す、などという場合でもすべてバックアップされてしまい、あとで手動で修正するのが面倒になったので、この機能は使うのをやめました。
以上、アプリがとても使いやすく日々使い倒していますが、「改悪」ともいえるアップデートがあったので開発元にメールしたところこれ以上なく迅速かつ丁寧な対応があったため、レビューを書くことにしました。
無料で使えるのがとてもありがたい。サービスも良い。
スマホのカメラで簡単に書類などをPDF化できるので息子の塾のプリントをデータ化するのに非常に役立っている。PDFの編集アプリは有料かつ、高価なものが多い中で、このアプリは無料アプリにも関わらずいらないページの消去や、ファイルの複製、並び替え等もできる。あまりにも気に入って有料版の購入も考えたが、機能的に無料のもので満足しているのでアップグレードはしていない。あと、サービスに関して。ひとつ前のアップデートの時に、ファイル名の編集ができない(漢字の変換も不可)トラブルがあった。私がわざわざ問い合わせなくてもと思ったが、アプリの会社に問い合わせてみた。期待していなかったが、翌日に丁寧な返事(今、当社エンジニアが対応しているというような内容)が届き、不具合を改善したアップデートができるようになると、そのお知らせまできた！なんて親切なんだろうと感動した！そんなわけで、とても満足したので少額ながらチップを払ってみようと思っている。間違いなくオススメのスキャンアプリ。

★5→4：Evernoteに送信するとき編集欄をうっかり下にスワイプすると送信キャンセル＝入力情報削除になってしまう。この動きをキャンセルするか、せめて確認のアラートを出してほしい。スクロールのつもりでスワイプ＝キャンセルになってしまうことが度々ある。［2021年4月8日追記］
★5：CamScannerと比べましたが、機能はともかく画質の差が思いのほか大きかったため、こちらを選択しました。
