Product is great, app is so-so

The smatmike itself is a great product. I use it for all my videos that are shot outdoors with my phone. Aside from strong winds that can be heard, it captures my voice very well and has pretty good range. However, having to use the app for the product is a big downside. I would prefer to use the standard iPhone (iOS) video function rather than going through the app. It also seems to eat up the battery quickly. Data transfer is great though as you can transfer via WiFi making it unnecessary to save onto your phone.

No video mode

It’s possible to record only voice with no video when I use SmartMike+. However, it is still impossible to do it with the internal microphone.

It would be convenient if the app can manage files within the app and share data with external disks such as Dropbox.
