The Problem

Sports associations are responsible for choosing and training coaching staff (they could be paid or volunteer). The ‘product’ that an association provides is quality coaching, teaching, and improving skills (sport specific and life) of their players. One of the main goals of a director is to attract families into the organization and grow the number of participants. Coaches are the main interface to the players after they join but the quality of coaches always varies. Directors rarely have feedback directly from the players as it is filtered by parents and coaches. Many times they are not involved in a situation until it is too late and a player wants to quit because of a specific event or an ongoing situation. The goal is to keep kids in the game and having fun! Being able to check in on the mental health and wellness of players and teams to identify potential issues assists in this.


Our Solution

Sports Checkin is a mobile application designed for players and sports directors. Feedback questions about player experience are scheduled by the director and answered by players. Answering a survey should take less than 30 seconds and is situational based on whether the athlete had a practice, game or a break day. The data is consolidated and reported to the association's directors. Directors have their own dashboard that allows them to look at peer comparisons.
